Our Story

Grant is a graduate of George Washington University, is a guest lecturer at both Booth and Kellogg School of Business, has spent most of his career as a C-Level Executive helping grow start-ups, and founded Illuma to follow his passion - matching the right people with the right organization to see both reach their full potential.

Grant is a lifelong learner who in his free time, he loves to read, travel, cook, garden, spend time with friends and family, and spend time outdoors.

Maureen joined Illuma in 2019 after spending over a decade working in customer success, sales, and operations leadership at growth stage software companies, both privately held and VC backed. As Partner, Maureen takes the lead on technology client engagements while managing candidate experience and recruiting operations.

Maureen graduated from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business with an MBA in June 2018. She attended Wayne State University in Detroit for undergrad. You can find Maureen on the sand volleyball court or hanging with her niece and nephews in her spare time.

Caleb joined Illuma in 2021 bringing 10+ years of operations, project management, and client services experience in market research and growth-stage technology companies. At Illuma, Caleb leads client engagements in research and technology while helping create best-in-class candidate experiences.

Caleb received an MBA from The Ohio State University in 2011 and went to The University of Missouri as an undergrad. Caleb has a 5-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a 3-month old, so his spare time is mostly Legos, cutting up hotdogs, and Disney+. 

David joined Illuma in 2021 bringing 5+ years of experience implementing and scaling Business Development best practices for market research and growth-stage technology companies. At Illuma, David leads client development helping bring on the high-level clientele we serve. 

David received his degree from Illinois State University. When not busy working for his brother, he loves spending time with his wife, family and friends. He has a passion for baking, watching movies, making to-do lists, gardening, backpacking, camping, or just being outdoors, and working on various house projects!

Lisa DeClercq joined Illuma Search as a Senior Associate with close to 15 years of HR leadership experience within high-growth organizations. In her role, Lisa supports recruiting operations with extensive market research and candidate outreach and support through Illuma’s high-touch consultancy approach.

Lisa enjoys all topics employee engagement, leadership development, scalability, and culture. When not working, Lisa enjoys being outdoors, gardening, cooking, reading, dancing, and learning something new. 

Brandon joined Illuma in 2022 after a year and a half of working in sales and operations in a high-growth stage company. At Illuma, Brandon supports recruiting processes with market research and assists in best-in-class candidate outreach.

Brandon majored in finance and graduated from The University of Alabama in 2020. He loves spending his free time with family and friends, playing sports, and learning new skills.

Alex joined Illuma in 2023 after gaining valuable experience in executive recruiting at a start-up recruiting agency and SaaS company. At Illuma, Alex is responsible for recruiting operations, specializing in market research, candidate outreach, and engagement. Dedicated to providing an exceptional candidate and client experience, She leads with empathy and a personalized approach.

Alex holds a degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Outside of work, you can find her singing, playing the piano, and exploring Chicago's vibrant restaurant scene with friends and family.
